Seismo-acoustic Research and Operations Scientist
Ken earned his Master’s in Mathematics from Murray State University in 2004 and PhD in Geophysics from the University of Kentucky in 2009. He has accumulated research and operations experience working at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, the US National Tsunami Warning Center, and the Geophysical Institute at UAF. He is interested in seismic and infrasound source characterization, waveform data quality, and adapting research-grade algorithms for operational use. He also oversees WATC metadata. When not thinking about waveform data quality, he can usually be found stream side with a box of dry flies or skiing one of Fairbanks many trails.
