There are two broadband seismometers located at Eareckson Air Station on Shemya Island. The original International Monitoring System station AS112 was installed in 2007 on Attu Island, 63 km west of Shemya Island, where its station code was ATTU. The site was moved to Shemya Island in 2015 and installed in the basement of a building at Eareckson Air Station.
