Chief Scientist

David obtained his M.S. in Seismology from the University of Wyoming in 2004 and PhD in Volcano Infrasound at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010. His research at UAF focuses on using infrasound and seismology to study volcanic eruptions and anthropogenic explosions. Currently he works as the Coordinating Scientist of the Alaska Volcano Observatory and Chief Scientist of the University Affiliated Research Center for the Geophysical Detection of Nuclear Proliferation.
