WATC Director

David obtained his M.S. in Seismology from the University of Wyoming in 2004 and PhD in Volcano Infrasound at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2010. His research at UAF focuses on using infrasound and seismology to study volcanic eruptions and anthropogenic explosions. Currently he serves as the WATC Director, Coordinating Scientist of the Alaska Volcano Observatory, and also as a part of the Geophysical Detection of Nuclear Proliferation (GDNP) University Affiliated Research Center (UARC).
